Growing up in San Diego, I had the opportunity to explore a wide range of sports and athletics. It wasn't until I discovered dance in high school that I truly felt a passion for movement and fitness ignite within me. Over the next 15 years, I embraced various practices like yoga, Pilates, and weight training (though I'll admit, my early attempts were a bit clumsy!). My love for strength training deepened when I realized its power to improve not just my physical health, but my mental and emotional well-being as well. During a challenging period in my mid-twenties, I found solace and strength in the gym. As my body transformed, I experienced a newfound sense of resilience and inner strength that extended far beyond the physical. Today, I understand that these mental and emotional gains are the most valuable rewards of my fitness journey. They're what motivates me to continue pushing my limits!
My journey to becoming a personal trainer has been fueled by a deep passion for helping others discover their inner strength. And yes, achieving your fitness goals is absolutely a priority goal for me as we work together, but that is only one piece of the equation. For me, overcoming personal challenges early in life and emerging stronger from these trials instilled in me the importance of resilience, self-empowerment, and taking supportive action to cultivate self-esteem. When I committed to a strength training program, not only did I see my body transform in ways I had only ever dreamed about, I felt my emotional and spiritual fitness grow bigger and stronger. This is what I endeavor to strengthen in my own life and cultivate with my clients, with you – a fit body, a strong heart, a sharp mind, and an unwavering spirit. Today, I use my experiences and expertise to create a supportive and empowering environment for my clients. I believe that fitness is not just about physical transformation, but also about developing mental and emotional well-being.
